The ONT and the Router have to be connected with a net cable. Once it is connected, choose how you want to connect the devices, via Wi-Fi or with an Ethernet cable (net cable).
Connect the blue WAN connector of the router to the yellow connector LAN1 of the ONT (fibre box) with a network cable.
TEven though you might browse very close to the router, you may still not have a good signal. We recommend placing the router in a visible place, not on the floor and preferably high up, without any objects around it.
If your router is Wi-Fi 2, 4G, you will have a wider area of coverage, but you won’t browse at full speed.
If your router is Wi-Fi 5G (what Andorra Telecom offers), the area of coverage isn’t so wide, but you can browse at full speed.
If your router has aerials, place them high up, in the shape of a V.
If you have one of our household routers, the aerials are internal. However, the router for professionals does have aerials.
You can obtain greater speeds if your device has been updated with the latest version of the operating system, as well as being modern or high-end.
Even if there are no obstacles around the router, there still may be places in the house where the signal is weak.
Move the router a few centimetres to see if it improves.
Si no ho fa, pot ser que hi hagi interferències provocades o bé pels materials de la casa o bé per aparells electrònics, com:
If the Wi-Fi signal still doesn’t reach where you want it to, we recommend a Wi-Fi repeater to extend the range of the Wi-Fi network.
It is important to have a secure Wi-Fi network. Don’t forget to enter a keyword when you configure the router, otherwise someone will connect to your Wi-Fi and you will browse more slowly, because you will be sharing the connection with other people.
